-Situated in a historical building in a quiet square next to the cathedral. -Minibar with 2 complimentary bottles of water that they replenish every day. -The reception and common areas on the ground floor are modern. The rooms and corridors on the upper floors are old. Spacious room. . -Very good price for a weekend in March (50 euros/night) without breakfast.
Breakfast: it is not a buffet, besides we asked expressly (for some comments we read), we were told to sit down (it was a question whose answer could only be yes or no). They gave us the breakfast menu, there are several to choose from, cheapest one costs 5 euros and consists of 1 coffee, 1 croissant and 1 juice. We left and 2 days we had breakfast in other cafeterias in Ciudad Rodrigo, better and cheaper. -We asked for a room with a double bed and they gave us 2 singles together. They didn't tell us when we checked in and when we asked. they told us it was subject to availability, As we saw in the plans. there were only 2 double rooms out of 10 on our floor, So it's hard to say if there are any available. photos do not reflect reality: there is no breakfast buffet. are there so many bath gels/amenities in the bathroom,

The hotel is very well located in the centre of the lovely city of Cuidad Rodrigo. Receptionist very helpful, room clean and fairly spacious. Parking was no problem for us in May, but restrictions apply and this might be a problem in the summer.
The beds were uncomfortable and the fittings in the room and bathroom rather tired. By far the biggest problem was lack of sound insulation to next door - you could hear every word through the wall. Regrettably, this would put me off staying in this hotel again.

The queen room was airy, I felt like at home. The bed was comfy and there were an air conditioner and a balcony. The service was good with parking in front of the hotel. The staff were pleasant and a great breakfast was provided.

Beautifull building, bedroom and situation in Ciudad Rodrigo. friendly staff.
It's in a old building and you can ear what's going on in other places, principally if you stay in the 1st floor.

Due to a mistake on our part we did not book the Parador at Ciudad Rodrigo which looked excellent however the Conde was more than adequate and good value for money.
Not very busy and lacked atmosphere we were the only people in the dining room for dinner and breakfast

The hotel had a great central location overlooking a vibrant square, and the king room I booked was equipped with conveniences like an electronic key card, multi-channel television, and a study table.

Accomodation, staff, service and meals (breakfast and dinner) were excellent. Would help if dinner menu had English translation. Our group was 2 grandparents and two grandchildren (aged 4 and 15) - - we all enjoyed ourselves. Excellent location with quick access to motorway. Very good value for money - would stay again.

Have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and consider it to be a little gem of a place .Very handy for a stop over to /from Portugal or for simply admiring the buildings in the enclosed city. The restaurant continues to give good food at a very reasonable price
A menu in English would be useful I imagine to non spanish speakers.

A brilliant hotel, in a brilliant position, we could even park our 4 motorbikes on the pavement right outside the door. The paella in the restaurant was the best I've ever tasted.

The hotel was right in the centre of things, we loved the feel of the historic building which had been tastefully refurbished.
